Heartbroken Dog Ignored At Park Gets The Best Gift From Mom

Dog Adopted by Loving Family Finds Himself Ignored in the Park, but Mom Has a Special Surprise for Him
“Why aren’t they paying attention to me like the other dogs?” Axel seemed to ask.
Axel, a 2.5-year-old Rottweiler, is a friendly creature. His daily park visits are filled with attempts to befriend every living soul he encounters. However, there are times when this gentle giant returns home without having made a single friend.
According to Axel’s mom, Rianna, this disheartening scenario happens almost every time they leave home. People tend to judge Axel by his appearance before getting to know him.
On one of their usual walks around his favorite Park, Axel found himself once again overlooked, despite his eager attempts to interact.

Rianna recalls, “He was just trying to greet everyone with his big, friendly grin.” He couldn’t grasp why all the attention was directed toward other dogs while he was left unnoticed.
Realizing this disparity in attention was a blow to the young pup’s spirits.
Rianna reiterated that this discriminatory treatment happens almost every time they venture out. People tend to make snap judgments based on Axel’s intimidating looks.
Feeling rejected, Axel sought comfort in Rianna’s arms when they got home.
Rianna is grateful for Axel’s support from their online community, who shower him with the same love she does, regardless of how he is treated in the outside world.

“Axel has this adorable habit of tapping people with his paw, hoping they’ll hold his hand,” says Rianna. “And if you let go, he immediately places his paw back in your hand. He’s a big, lovable goofball who wants to spread joy. But sometimes, I must remind him he’s too big to be a lap dog.”
Axel joined Rianna’s family when he was only eight weeks old as a companion for her other dog, Nala. Despite his size, Axel still considers himself a puppy who craves affection.
Rianna describes him as a “cuddle monster.” “If he had his way, he’d snuggle with me all day. He has this endearing habit of resting his head on your shoulder and wrapping one paw around your waist for a genuine hug!”
Axel also has an uncanny ability to sense when Rianna is upset and offers comfort by bringing her his favorite toy or snuggling up to her. Rianna knows the magnitude of Axel’s heart, even if others at the Park fail to see it.

“Axel has completely changed my life,” Rianna states. “He is my world and the perfect dog. He brings me joy every day and makes me feel like the luckiest dog mom in the world.”
Axel was born with a cleft palate which affected his ability to bark, among other health issues. When he was a 3-month-old puppy, his attempts at barking would result in a high-pitched squeak.
