There once was a little stray kitten, who came and went as she pleased. After months of coming and going she decided she would stay. We named her Haunani (beautiful dew) and within a few months she met a handsome tomcat (who did not stay) and pregnant she became. Three beautiful angels were born and we did not have the heart to part with any.
Patches the little lady a sassy calico, Tiger the buff bodyguard, a dark orange tabby (rarely left his sisters side), and Snowflake the baby baby (he needs ton's of food, love and spooks like scooby doo).
We have had them all as house cats for 12 year's now (Haunani is 13, the babies are 12).
Haunani was daddy's girl until daddy died in 2009, now she's mommy's constant companion requiring all the attention and cuddles up on mommy's chest every chance she gets, but is still as tiny as a kitten, never more then 8lbs, she is dwarfed by her children.
Patches is 18lbs, laid back but always gets her way, and is not afraid to nibble you if you stop petting her too soon. She lets you know when she wants the attention and will snob you when she doesn't
We lost Tiger in 2012, he was 20lbs of muscle and the king of the roost, would stand guard at the screen door nightly on his security patrol, and had a head butt that could leave bruise, we still miss him daily and his ashes are right next to daddy's.
Snowy is 16lbs and will never let you forget to feed him. He will jump up on the banister so his cry's can be heard in surround sound until you get up at whatever time his tummy tells him (4am in the morning) to feed him. He snuggles the best and does acrobatics when startled.
They are so much apart of our lives that we wouldn't know life without them. Thank goodness that little bitty kitty decided to make us her forever home.
